Another addition to HTC’s smartphone portfolio has just been announced and HTC Desire 510 specs and more have been confirmed. This could well be the HTC A11 that was recently leaked, with many of the specs matching up nicely. We have some details of this mid-range phone coming right up.
HTC has launched the Butterfly 2 for South Asian markets, a smartphone that was previously launched in Japan as the J Butterfly for KDDI. The smartphone will be made available from September 2 in Taiwan, and will be gradually rolled-out to Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand thereafter. For now, pricing details have not been provided.



Comparison Specs

The new HTC Desire 510 is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core 64-bit processor with Adreno 306 graphics. It has a 4.7-inch FWVGA display, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), along with a 5-megapixel rear camera and VGA front-facing shooter.
HTC Butterfly 2  runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and features a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display. It packs a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor coupled with 2GB RAM.The Butterfly 2 comes with 16GB and 32GB of inbuilt storage options, with expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB). It sports a duo-camera setup as seen on HTC One (M8) (Pictures | Review) with main sensor at 13-megapixel with dual-LED flash, while a 5-megapixel front-facing camera is also onboard.


The phone has 4G LTE connectivity, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and has a 2100 mAh battery. It runs the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system skinned with HTC Sense, and dimensions are 139.9mm x 69.8mm x 9.99mm, weighing in at 158g. The price hasn’t yet been announced but is likely to be affordable, and the Desire 510 will be released in various regions including Europe, Asia and the US.
Connectivity options on the Butterfly 2 smartphone include Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with DLNA, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with MHL, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G and 4G LTE connectivity options. 
The Butterfly 2 comes with a 2700mAh battery that's rated to deliver a talk time of up to 23.9 hours on 3G, and standby time of up to 643 hours. It will be available in Blue, Red, and White colour options, measures 145.4x70.2x9.99mm, and weighs 151 grams. 

The Desire 510 will be available in Terra White or Meridian Grey color options. It’s not yet known if the Desire 510 will also be available as a dual-SIM variant. You may also be interested in the HTC Desire 820 that was recently leaked and also has a 64-bit processor. This phone is due to be unveiled at an IFA Berlin event on September 4.
The HTC Butterfly 2 is water-resistant with IPX5 and IPX7 ratings, while HTC says the Butterfly is dust-proof as well, with a IP5X rating. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, gyro sensor, and barometer.

The Butterfly 2 also comes with dual front stereo speakers and HTC's BoomSound technology that is claimed to deliver 25 percent louder output than the HTC One (M8). The company has also collaborated with Harman, to feature LiveStage Signal Processing Technology (Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong only) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP). It ships with exclusively designed JBL in-ear-headphones in Japan.
